Our laboratory is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) in accordance with the British, European, and international standard for quality assurance in analytical laboratories: BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) confirms to international clients that we have been accredited by a recognized accreditation body in accordance with this standard.
All accredited methods are inspected and approved by UKAS. The full standard covers both quality assurance and method-specific procedures. Normec DETS also participates in proficiency testing programs, including Aquacheck, Contest, AIMS, AISS, RICE, and DCC.

Yes. For PFAS analyses of water, specially prepared bottles are used to ensure interference-free sampling of environmental water. These bottles are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with unlined polypropylene (PP) caps to minimize the risk of contamination. In addition, the bottles are tested to confirm the absence of PFAS compounds.
Non-compliant samples are samples that have not been handled or stored correctly. This can be the case, for example, when the maximum storage period has been exceeded, the samples have not been stored at the correct temperature, were delivered in unsuitable packaging, contain an incorrect amount of air, have been affected by heat, light, or moisture, have deteriorated chemically or microbiologically, have been cross-contaminated, were damaged during transport, or were delivered in insufficient quantities. Such deviations may affect the reliability of the analysis results.
Reports are provided in Excel and PDF formats by default. Upon request, reports can also be provided in AGS, HWOL (Haz Waste Online), ESdat, and CSV formats.

The turnaround time depends on the type of test being performed. Standard tests can usually be reported within five business days.
