Rapid screening and data-driven product development
The platform uses two innovative testing methods that provide insights into the biodegradation behavior of materials and products.
The first method is an accelerated indicative test for biodegradability. Using enzyme technology, the first steps of biodegradation are analyzed. This makes it possible to determine at an early stage of product development whether a material is potentially biodegradable. This test provides results within hours, rather than months.
The second method is an automated pre-screening biodegradation test. This test allows rapid comparison of the biodegradation rates of multiple materials under different environmental conditions. This provides valuable data for material selection, product development and formulation optimization.
