On April 30, 2025, Normec OWS welcomed first-year chemistry students from Odisee for an educational visit focused on environmental sciences in practice.
During the session , the students were introduced to the basic principles of biodegradation, composting, and ecotoxicity testing, giving them insight into how materials are assessed for their environmental impact. The visit demonstrated how laboratory science directly contributes to sustainability goals, regulatory compliance, and responsible product development.
In addition to technical knowledge, the program highlighted potential career paths within environmental sciences, showcasing roles in laboratory research, sustainability consulting, and regulatory testing.
