Project
The project aims to develop a range of complementary bioplastics and coatings, derived where possible from readily available byproducts of the agri-food sector, with improved biodegradability. These developed bioplastics, coatings, and biocomposites will be tested in the research to assess their potential suitability for use in packaging for food and personal care products. Finally, their potential environmental impact and economic feasibility will also be determined in comparison with existing products.
