We analyse air samples collected using various sampling devices, such as filters, sorbent tubes, passive badges, thermal desorption tubes and Summa canisters. We carry out the analyses in accordance with internationally recognised standards and analytical methods, including BS EN ISO, MDHS, NIOSH and OSHA.
Our purpose-built laboratories are equipped with modern analytical techniques. In addition, Normec has its own transport fleet, ensuring that air samples are transported safely and reliably to our laboratories.

Analysis of soil vapour and landfill gas
For soil vapour and landfill gas analysis, Normec has extensive ISO 17025 accredited analytical capabilities. Our scope of accreditation covers more than 65 compounds with detection limits starting at 0.5 ppbv.
Using Summa canisters and thermal desorption tubes, we carry out accurate analyses of volatile substances in air samples. Thanks to specially developed protective boxes, the canisters and sorbent tubes remain well protected during transport. Depending on laboratory capacity, analyses can be carried out with an accelerated turnaround time.
Dust monitoring and emissions research
In addition to laboratory analyses, Normec also offers supplementary solutions for particulate matter monitoring and emissions investigations.

Normec holds the rights to Ian Hanby dust monitoring equipment. We offer purchase of gauges, consumables and subsequent analysis for:
