Soil air and immission measurements
For risk analyses, soil research or remediation, we perform various air measurements. Among other things, we analyze BTEXS (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene and styrene) and VOCl's (volatile chlorinated compounds) in soil air, indoor air and ambient air.
You can also come to us for dust deposition measurements with NILU jars, for example around yards or landfills. Normec is one of the few accredited laboratories for these measurements.

Emission measurements on combustion plants
Our measurements are carried out in accordance with applicable environmental regulations and recognized industry standards. This includes small and medium-sized combustion plants running on gas or light fuel, cogeneration plants (CHP), biomass combustion plants and permanently installed gas or diesel engines.
Among other things, we measure the flow rate, temperature and moisture content of flue gases. In addition, we analyze the flue gas composition, such as oxygen, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide, and determine the dust content via isokinetic sampling.

Emission measurements on process plants
We also have extensive measurement methods and equipment for process plants. We perform flow measurements with Pitot tubes or wing wheel meters and analyze flue gases such as CO, O2, CO2, NOx and SO2.
In addition, we perform isokinetic dust sampling and sample inorganic components via wet chemical methods with impingers, such as chlorine, fluorine, sulfate, ammonium and nitrate. For organic components, we use impingers or cartridges, for example, for aromatics, alcohols, esters and solvents. Online TOC (total organic carbon) measurements are also among the possibilities.
